Tim Schollaart was trained in carpentry at an early age, getting hands-on experience helping his dad, a well-known carpenter in West Michigan. Tim’s work became a passion when he was 20 years old and decided to be a contractor and build his first home for himself. He fell in love with the home building process as a whole from design, product choices, managing the finances, working with the trades and vendors.
His desire to service others combined with learned talents and passion led him to found Tim Schollaart Builder in 2003. It began with doing carpentry on high end homes, taking custom cabinet orders, building custom furniture, and progressed to building many award winning homes.
As volume increased so did the team of talented people who share Tim’s homebuilding vision and service to others. With a team approach, this has led Tim to have the desire to change the name of business from an individual to YOUR HOMES LLC in 2019.
